Wrestling Match Held on Speeding Bullet Train

A wrestling match took place on a high-speed Nozomi Shinkansen bullet train traveling between Tokyo and Nagoya on Monday.

The showdown: The fight was organized by Tokyo-based professional wrestling group DDT Pro-Wrestling. The match featured wrestlers Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi fighting in the narrow aisle of the transportation carriage, marking the first time a wrestling match was held inside a bullet train.

Both men, who were dressed in wrestling briefs, put on a competitive and comical show without destroying any property while the train was running at speeds of up to 285 kph (177 mph). After a 30-minute battle, Suzuki emerged as the winner.

About DDT: DDT Pro-Wrestling reportedly rented the entire train car with 75 seats to hold the unique experience, which sold out in just 30 minutes. The entertainment company is known for staging matches in unique places, including swimming pools and spas.

According to Slam Wrestling, DDT stars, including Jun Akiyama and Kenta Kobashi, also made appearances during the match.
